Working Guests


‘Serving Guests’ are persons who wish to live and serve at the Mission for shorter periods of time. Some come for only a few days, others for a longer period of time. Anyone over the age of 18 may apply to be a Serving Guest. Full details are available on request, by e-mail to livedtheologyschool@yahoo.ca (note not .com), or to info@stjohnsmission.org.

Working guests
What do we expect of serving guests?

+ That they will immerse themselves fully in the life of the Mission.
+ That they will willingly undertake any form of service/work required of them.
+ That they will participate fully in the daily life of the Mission.
+ That they will attend the daily and Sunday services in the chapel of the Mission.
+ That they will respect the common rules of the Mission.
+ That they will live in harmony with the rule of life at Lourmel (the community house of St. John’s).
+ That they will live in a spirit of obedience to the Spiritual Father of the community of St. John’s.
+ That they will not undertake any initiatives, or make changes, to the life of the Mission without the express permission of the Spiritual Father of the community.
